*Students entering the 3-year-old program must be 3 on or before September 1, 2021.
*Students entering the 4- year-old program must be 4 on or before September 1, 2021.
*Selection for the program is on a first-come first-served basis.
*Children must be fully potty-trained.
*The children will complete screener at a later date. The screening instrument is the Battelle Developmental Inventory.
*The Pre-K program is tuition-based at $275 a month for 10 months. A $275 non-refundable deposit will need be paid by April 23rd and will apply toward August’s tuition.
*Our program follows guidelines and requirements as dictated by MS Department of Education.
*GDS was selected to be a part of the Early Learning Collaborative Preschool Program, receiving funding annually for three years, as state funds are available.
*At present, we have 4 four-year-old classes and 4 three-year old classes. It is possible additional classes may be added as the need arises.
*Each classroom has a certified teacher and an assistant teacher. In the four-year program no more than 20 students will be in the classroom and in the three-year old program no more than 14 students will be in each classroom.
*Students living in our school district will be given first priority. If you live out of district, you will have to be released from that district and pay the Out of District fee. For more information contact Grenada School District Central Office.
*Transportation is the parents’ responsibility.
*The following paperwork is required once your child is accepted into the program: Original Birth Certificate, Immunization Form 121, and 2 Proofs of Residency.
Hours of Operation
*The program will follow GSD calendar with several additional days.
*School hours: 7:00 am- 3 pm; extended day will be offered from 3:00pm-5:30 pm for no additional charge.
