Visions Spring Concert
Flowers blooming, grass growing, and lawn mowers humming are all sure signs of spring. Another sure sign the season is upon us is the Grenada High School Visions annual spring show. This year’s production, entitled Sticks and Stones, promises to be the best show yet!
Forty-nine talented performers are slated to present the new show which focuses on bullying May 1 – 2 in the GHS Auditorium. The musical follows the “new girl” (Grace Worthy) as she faces the struggle for acceptance at a new school.
Songs featured in the spectacle include: Welcome to the Show, Don’t Cha, Popular (featuring Sarah Kate Griffin), Royals (featuring Paige Porter), Dancing with Myself, Run Away (featuring Mitchell Sones), Everybody Hurts (featuring Mitchell Sones), Walk It Out, Ego(featuring Jhayla Maxie), Honky Tonk Badonkadonk, Your Cheating Heart (featuring Sydney Taylor), ABC (featuring “Visions for a Day” kids), Let It Go (featuring Sydney Reid), Eye of the Tiger (featuring Pizzazz and Entertainers), and Human (featuring Beth Moore).
The spring show leads into and culminates with the performance of Visions award-winning competition show, also titled “Sticks and Stones”. Musical selections showcased during the competition portion include: Heard it Through the Grapevine, Rumor Has It (featuring Selina Trotter), Everybody Talks, Creep (featuring Jamie Muilwyk and Jarvis Benson), Broken Girl (featuring Matthew Murphy), Loser Like Me, Monster, and Brave/Roar (featuring Sloane Reid and Mason Blair).

- Thursday, May 1, 2014 - 2:00 p.m. - Senior citizen matinee $2; 7:00 p.m. - regular performance
- Friday, May 2, 2014 -7:00 p.m. - regular performance. Doors will open at 6:15

Junior Dancer/ Singers: Chace Alldread, Jarvis Benson, Mason Blair, Matthew Murphy, Haley Garlington, Claire Sanford, Selena Trotter, Hannah Waters, and Grace Worthy;
Sophomore Dancer/Singers: Rylee Artman, Carson Carrithers, Jessi Morgan, Sloane Reid, Melissa Sones, and Jaylon Townsend.
Freshmen Dancer/ Singers: Ayanna Berry, Anna Bradlie Blair, Kaylee Clanton, Taylor Garlington, Raina Livingston, Jamie Muilwyk, Bailey Muselwhite, Noah Porter, and LaDarrius Thurmond.
Band: Ioyanna Collins, Logan Conner, Tristan Crockett, Jacob Robertson, Kushun Rounds, Tyree Phillips, and Katie Owen.
Crew: Tori DuBard, Emily Lampkin, Kelsey Lipe, Grant Martin, Mallory McWhorter, Elizabeth Parks, Peyton Porter, and Taylor Vance.
Grenada High School’s Visions show choir consists of 49 members, with talents ranging from singing, dancing, instrumental performance, costuming and set design, and expertise with sound equipment, staging and lighting. Visions performs at local events, nursing homes, local club meetings, and national events. They also perform out of state and most recently performed at Disney World’s Downtown Disney’s main stage over the Thanksgiving break. Visions performs under the leadership of Jenni Winter, Director; Kim Porter, Assistant Director; and Jan Walton, Costume Director. Make plans now to come out and enjoy Sticks and Stones!
