GMS Choirs

Grenada Middle School offers students several different opportunities to express themselves in song.  Five different showchoirs, SHOWTIMERS, OVATIONS, SENSATIONS, STARZ, and ENTERTAINERS, exist at the school.  These groups are directed by Gale Dorrah and each meets during a different class period for practice every day.  Mandy Bell provides choreography for the different troupes.

GMS showchoirs help prepare students for the Grenada High School showchoir Visions.  Many Visions members came up through the ranks of elementary and middle school choirs offered at the Grenada School District.

The Grenada Middle School Choirs will present “I’ve Got Rhythm”, a program consisting of songs whose titles contain the word “Rhythm”, on Thursday, September 27, 2012, at 6:00p.m. in the Grenada High School Auditorium.  This performance will be over in plenty of time for those patrons who wish to attend the program at 7:00p.m. scheduled at Holmes Community College.  Songs that will be performed include:  I Got Rhythm; Rock, Rhythm and Roll; Boogie Woogie Rhythm; The Rhythm of My Soul; Rhythm of Life; Rhythm of the Rain; Jump to the Rhythm; I Can Feel the Rhythm; Rhythm of Love; Conga Rhythm!; Rhythm Dance; Creator Rhythm; and Rhythm of the Night.
