     2014 GMS Choirs

Do you have a particular song or singer that makes you feel the beat of the music like no other?  A song that gets your toes tapping and your fingers snapping like no other?   Well, on September 25, 2014, in the Grenada High School Auditorium, the Grenada Middle School Choirs will present songs that make us all feel the beat!  Beginning at 6:00p.m., the choirs will present The Beat Goes On, a compilation of songs all about the beat.

The program features each of the five different choirs from the GMS program as well as songs performed by the combined choirs.  Under the direction of Gale Dorroh, the students have been practicing and rehearsing since the beginning of the school year.  Each choir member auditioned at the end of the 2013-2014 school year for a spot in one of the ensembles.  Members of the groups include:
SHOWTIMERS – (6th grade) Chris Bolden, Bethany Boykin, Jada Carpenter, Jakierra Cleveland, Gabby Dawkins, Madelynn Dubard, Garian Edwards,  Gage Golding, Mackenzie Gunter, Hallie Kerr, Zion Lott, Yasmine Mccaskill, Lazarus Pratt, KeeKee Rhymes, Kyra Robinson, Emily Tillman, Nikki Warren, and Zack Woodall

OVATIONS – (6th grade) Hailey Baker, Kristian Bell, Cody Bishop, Hannah Briscoe, Cinaiya Brown, Amelia Ferguson, Kira Finkley, Layney Goss, Jadon Hardwidck, Kayla Herrington, Allie Holland, Kendyl Jones, Lane Lemley, Roy McIntosh, Sadie Roberts, Laci Sellars, Neely Sherman, Riley Simmons, and Brooke Thomas

The Beat Goes On  features the following selections: Make plans to attend The Beat Goes On, September 25, 2014, at 6:00p.m., in the Grenada High School Auditorium as they share their love of music with the city of Grenada.  Cost is $3.00 for adults, $1.00 for students and children.  Doors open at 5:45.
