GMS Beauty Revue 2016

GHS Beauty Revue winners 2016
           A barrage of beauties and beaus graced the stage at the Grenada High School Auditorium on a recent Saturday as Grenada Elementary, Grenada Upper Elementary, and Grenada Middle School students competed in a beauty review marathon! Beginning at 11:00a.m., and winding down at around 7:30p.m., approximately 100 guys and girls took the stage competing for various titles.

The younger competitors kicked off the event in the Miss Spirit pageant hosted by the Grenada High School cheerleaders with a total of 30 entries. Pageant attire was modeled by contestants in grades 4-5, while younger contestants modeled their Sunday best. The GHS senior cheerleaders emceed this event while underclassmen cheerleaders assisted with production and planning. Proceeds from this pageant fund activities for the GHS cheerleaders during the year. Nine contestants in grades K-1 competed for the title of Mini Miss Spirit. Award winners were:
• Most Photogenic – Kaylen Griffin
• Third Alternate – Lily Beth Willilams
• Second Alternate – Halle Grace Holcomb
• First Alternate – Lana Yopp
• 2016 Mini Miss Spirit – Mya Katlynn Gonzalez

From a total of 14 entries, Little Miss Spirit winners (grades 2-3) were:
• Most Photogenic – Leah Briscoe
• Third Alternate - Presley Williams
• Second Alternate – Addison Shay Brown
• First Alternate – Kaden Garcia
• 2016 Little Miss Spirit – Lyla Kate Burnett

Out of 17 entries, the Junior Miss Spirit (grades 4-5) honors went to:
• Most Photogenic – Keirin Alberg
• Third Alternate – Sydney Allbritton
• Second Alternate – Lily Horan
• First Alternate – Hillary Beckwith
• 2016 Junior Miss Spirit – Amelia Taylor

After the last Miss Spirit was crowned, Grenada Middle School set the stage for beauties and beaus in grades six through eight. A total of 60 contestants competed in three separate pageants beginning with the sixth grade at 2:00p.m. Twelve girls vied for the title of GMS Sixth Grade Most Beautiful. Also named at the pageant was the winner of GMS Sixth Grade Most Handsome. The winners were:
• Audience Choice Most Handsome – Jacob Chavis
• 2016 GMS Sixth Grade Most Handsome – Eli Black
• Miss Congeniality – Sidney-Claire Brown
• Most Photogenic – Cayden Collins
• Audience Choice Most Beautiful – Alexis Smith
• Fourth Alternate – Madison Hughes
• Third Alternate – Hannah Grace Jacks
• Second Alternate – Gracie Holliman
• First Alternate – Sidney-Claire Brown
• 2016 GMS Sixth Grade Most Beautiful – Kate Blankenship

Twenty-one girls and five beaus took the stage during the seventh grade pageant. The winners were:
• Audience Choice Most Handsome – Joe Eddie Cobbs
• 2016 GMS Seventh Grade Most Handsome – Jacob Habig
• Miss Congeniality – Allie Holland
• Most Photogenic – Jayden Phillips
• Audience Choice Most Beautiful – Emily Grace Tillman
• Top Ten (with placings – listed alphabetically) – Lana Ballard; Haley Beckwith, First Alternate; Hannah Beckwith; Kira Finkley; Laney Goss, 2016 GMS Seventh Grade Most Beautiful; Kendyl Jones; Hallie Kerr, Second Alternate; Jayden Phillips, Third Alternate; Blake Sides, Fourth Alternate; Emily Tillman

The eight grade contestants rounded out the evening with a total of 13 beauties and 3 beaus. The winners were:
• Audience Choice and 2016 Eighth Grade Most Handsome: Tyss Harris
• Miss Congeniality – Reagan Wooldridge
• Most Photogenic – Abby Martin
• Audience Choice Most Beautiful – Shauna George
• Fourth Alternate – Mia Parker
• Third Alternate – Reagan Wooldridge
• Second Alternate – Abby Martin
• First Alternate – Terra West
• 2016 GMS Eighth Grade Most Beautiful – Braylee Shaw
