Grenada Coach Marks 100 wins

Softball Coach Leslie Lancaster achieved an impressive milestone recently in the September 20 game, racking up her 100th victory since she began her work as Head Softball Coach in 2007.  She states, “I have been blessed with students with talent, a work ethic, and determination.  Each year I have had a good group and excellent booster club support.”

Leslie’s remarkable record boasts at the time of this printing, 101 wins and only 37 losses.  In 2007, the Softball Team was District Champions, in 2008 and 2009 District Champions and North State Champions, and 2010 and 2011 District Champions, and in 2009 Leslie was recognized as the All Star Coach North.  Since 2007, her teams have scored over 1,235 runs, 1997 hits, and have achieved 37 shutouts.

Before serving as Head Coach with the Grenada Softball Team, she worked as the Assistant Coach for six years.  In her ten years with GHS as Head Coach and Assistant Coach, her teams have won four State Championships.

Lancaster says, “I thank the community for the opportunity to be the Head Coach for the Grenada Softball Teams!”

“Congratulations to Coach Lancaster upon her consistent, successful record,” states Superintendent Dr. David Daigneault, “This is a remarkable achievement!”
